KUKA Malaysia Opening Day Celebration

   
KUKA Malaysia has held an opening day on the 9th to 10th October 2008
New Company Building KUKA Malaysia
KUKA Malaysia has held an opening day on the 9th to 10th October 2008. This event is in conjunction with the opening of the new building. In addition, the opening day also unveils the strongest robot in the world, the KR 1000 titan. The event also marks KUKA Malaysia being selected as the official South East Asia hub. Located in Bandar Bukit Puchong, the new building occupies a total floor space of 2,289 square meters and is capable of storing up to more than 50 robot arms in the warehouse area.

The event was attended by Proton, Rofin, APM Plastic, SIRIM, MABOSA KP and many more. Colleagues from China and Thailand also attended the event.The attendee’s are then lead to the warehouse area after the ribbon cutting ceremony. A short video presentation about KUKA Robot group was shown after a welcome and introduction speech by Mr. Mun Chee Yin, managing director of KUKA Malaysia and Mr. Michael Otto, head of marketing in KUKA Germany.  Mr. Mun and Mr. Michael were then invited onto the stage to unveil the KR 1000 Titan. Many of the attendees were awed by the KR 1000 Titan impressive power and size. It is noted as the strongest robot in the world. A press conference was held shortly after in which majority of the media attended. Lunch was served shortly after that.

In addition of opening the new building and the unveiling of the KR 1000 Titan, KUKA Malaysia has been officially selected as the South East Asia hub for the KUKA Robot group.  As quoted by Mr. Mun Chee Yin “We are honored that Malaysia was selected to be the Southeast Asia and South China regional office and technical support centre for KUKA Robot Automation. Our new hub will be able to support general industries such as the food, plastic, metal, and wood industries.  We also have the capability to service automation industries.” With this, KUKA Malaysia will now be in charge of the SEA market.

The opening day was a success as the team banded together to ensure the event would go on smoothly. In addition, the sales team managed to secure some valuable prospects and also strengthen the bond with customers.
