Founded in 1898 in Augsburg, Germany, the KUKA Systems Group very quickly made a name for itself in arc welding and resistance spot welding. The delivery of the first system with multi-spot welding tools in 1958 and the first welding transfer line with robots in Europe in 1971 are two of the milestones in the development of the company, together with the implementation of one of the world's first laser roof seam welding systems in 1991. And KUKA continues to set standards today with numerous innovations, such as web technology and Ethernet-based system control, remote laser welding on the robot wrist, or laser framing stations for body assembly - to name just a few examples.
Work with its partners on the automotive future is pursued by the KUKA Systems Group more intensively than ever before. The range of products and services encompasses ideas, concepts and solutions for every phase in the development and production of vehicle bodies and chassis components.
