Audi driver Lucas di Grassi celebrates second place at Formula E anniversary
50th race of Formula E and another podium result for Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler: Lucas di Grassi finished the turbulent E-Prix in Hong Kong in second place with a cool head. Team-mate Daniel Abt fought his way up from grid position twelve to fourth place.
Changing weather caused extremely difficult conditions during the anniversary race of the electric series. Both free practice sessions and the qualifying took place in rain. At the start of the race, the track was still wet, but then dried further and further. The safety car was used a total of three times, and shortly after the start the race even had to be interrupted with the red flag. In the race, which was marked by numerous retirements, only 14 of the 22 drivers crossed the finish line.

That's my 29th podium finish in Formula E. But I'm not only very proud of that. It's simply fantastic how this racing series has developed. There is no better one for me at the moment.
Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler is now in second place in the team standings after five of 13 runs, Lucas di Grassi improved to third overall in the drivers' standings, while Daniel Abt is in eighth place.

The sixth Formula E race of the season is scheduled for two weeks from now. On 23 March, the electric racing series will make its debut in Sanya on the Chinese island Hainan.
