Automation for everyone: Be part of the KUKA Innovation Award 2023

A robot as intuitive to operate as a smartphone? Automate a task without much expertise? That’s how simple automation should look in the future, with the new KUKA iiQKA operating and ecosystem. This offers countless new possibilities – and for the first time, KUKA is inviting creative minds from the robotics community to become part of this “Mission 2030”.

Robotics and automation are conquering more and more new areas – and with them, more and more people will come into contact with automation. To make interaction as normal as working on a laptop is today, KUKA is pursuing the goal of making automation intuitively and easily available in the coming years. To this end, KUKA is developing its new platform and operating system iiQKA, in close cooperation with customers.

And for the first time, KUKA’s annual innovation competition will also be integrated into this “Mission 2030”. Under the guiding theme “Open Platform Challenge“, creative minds are invited to submit their ideas. The goal: to enable end users to automate tasks quickly and safely without themselves being experts in the field of automation. After all, many tasks are not yet automated, especially in small and medium-sized enterprises.

New and highly flexible ideas for production, implemented on the new KUKA Cobot LBR iisy and a prize money of €20,000 for the winners: Join the KUKA Innovation Award 2023.
