Account Manager Medical

Responsibilities

Represents the company’s products and services to select medical equipment companies by assigned accounts under the local direction of KUKA U.S.A.  and with solid line responsibility to Germany’s Global Medical Robotics Sales – KUKA Healthcare for strategy, direction, and pricing.  Manages assigned accounts and develops new accounts to generate increased sales, profitability, and market share.  The Account Manager may be assigned to accounts by region, customer, or by robot applications/processes.

Profile

  • Develops and maintains long-term business relationships between KUKA Robotics and headquarters operations, end-user customers, their supplier base, system partners and integrators. 

  • Assists in the development of business plans, local strategies, budgets (OI/REV), and action plans for the medical robotic market in the US. 

  • Identifies new accounts/customers and new market opportunities. 

  • Seeks/explores automated solutions and proposes application opportunities to decision-makers of assigned accounts. 

  • Develops proposal package, including application concepts, project quotes, budgets, payback analysis, timing and change requirements, in collaboration with inside sales and other resources. 

  • Initiates technical support contact to respond to customer or to complete proposal. 

  • Reviews purchase orders for accuracy and supporting documentation. 

  • Liaison for start-ups and spin offs and works in close collaboration with research and the medical community. 

  • Monitors and benchmarks the competition’s products and services and notifies management of benchmarks (prices, technical advantages, technical problems, organization, etc.). 

  • Travels domestically and internationally to customer sites and to KUKA headquarters. 

  • Performs on-site visits at existing and potential customer headquarters. 

  • Exercises sound judgment in controlling sales and administrative costs. 

  • Understands and follows safety regulations and identifies safety concerns.

  • Adheres to the quality system and participates in continual improvement.
