At the Europe-wide theme week from 19 to 29 November 2020, KUKA will be providing insights into the world of robotics. Interested adults will learn more about current topics in robotics, and children will be inspired by the future topics of robotics and automation.

Why do we need robots? What can they do and where are they used? KUKA answers these questions in various events during European Robotics Week (ERW).

Digital lecture by Dr. Andreas Keibel:

"Robotics in medicine - an opportunity for the healthcare system of the future?"

From cancer diagnostics and rehabilitation applications to minimally invasive surgery: robots are increasingly being used in the medical sector. Robots can also assist in nursing and retirement homes, thus relieving the burden on staff. And the corona pandemic has brought topics such as digitization and automation in the healthcare sector increasingly into the limelight.

What opportunities does robotics offer in medicine and healthcare? Where are we today on the road to "Healthcare 4.0" and what are the opportunities and challenges?

This is what we want to talk about as part of European Robot Week, and we invite interested listeners to the annual KUKA presentation – for the first time in digital form, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Time: Thursday, 26.11.2020, 17.30 - approx. 18.30
