berufundfamilie audit for KUKA

Berlin/Augsburg, June 26, 2013 – KUKA AG and its Augsburg-based subsidiaries received a berufundfamilie (career and family) audit certificate. The certificate was awarded in Berlin on June 26 and underscores the company’s family-oriented human resources policy. KUKA received the certificate for the first time in 2010.

KUKA recognized for forward-looking, family-oriented human resources policy

The berufundfamilie audit helps businesses harmonize their employees’ professional and personal interests. Flexible working hours, home-office programs, organizational health management and a long-standing education and training tradition with opportunities for transfer are an integral part of the company’s family friendly employee policy.
“Our employees are the key to our success. This is why we need a working environment that adapts to their needs,” says KUKA AG CEO Dr. Till Reuter. Childcare is another important element of this policy, which is why the company will open a daycare center on its premises in Augsburg beginning in the late fall of 2013. The daycare center is sponsored by Orange Care e. V., a non-profit organization initiated by KUKA employees. “It’s essential to help parents balance their careers with their family life,” says Reuter.

Following the successful re-audit in spring 2013, KUKA set additional goals for the next three years that include advancing its human resources policy. The program follows a phase-of-life approach and is firmly rooted in the idea that it is possible to successfully balance both work and family life. For example, the company is taking measures to dynamically adapt working hours to the different personal situations and phases of individuals’ lives.
