KUKA Robotics in China has received an order for 300 KUKA robots from Great Wall Motor Company Limited (GWM), China's leading maker of off-road vehicles and pickup trucks. The robots will be used on a car body assembly line for spot and arc welding, as well as folding, gluing and handling workpieces, and linking presses.
The order was awarded in the fourth quarter of 2012 and is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2013. The order value is in the high single-digit million euro range.
