Hannover Messe 2018: KUKA in the partner country Mexico

For many years now, KUKA and Swisslog have been represented by subsidiaries in Mexico. They play an important role in the development and implementation of automation solutions for companies in the region.

More than 20 years ago, KUKA opened the first subsidiary in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Since that time, customers in the region have been served by local sales and service teams in order to implement pioneering automation solutions on a collaborative basis.

A local production facility was finally opened in Toluca, Mexico in 2003. Now, more than 130 employees from KUKA and Swisslog work there. Swisslog also operates a sales office for automated logistics solutions in Tlalnepantla, Mexico.

KUKA Mexico’s focus is on the manufacture, integration and sale of industrial robots and production systems.

KUKA customers receive comprehensive on-site assistance from our technical support team and field staff.

KUKA Mexico plays an important role in the region – particularly in the automotive industry. Customers include both global and regional automotive manufacturers and suppliers.

In November 2017, the latest large-scale project with a renowned automotive manufacturer was announced. A total of three KUKA plants in Mexico and the USA will carry out the design and integration of new body-in-white production systems.

This order is recognition of our innovative products. At the same time, it enables us to further strengthen our market position in North America and to benefit from the trend towards automation in the automotive industry.
