  • Development and design of mechanical structures and components for robots (e.g. castings, drive trains)
  • 3D-Design of cable routing and protecting systems for KUKA robot cablesets and for application dress packages
  • Components and jigs of requirements from production, assembly and maintenance according design standards including drafting, assemblies and stress analysis
  • State-of-the-art design of concepts, components, assembly groups and jigs
  • Consistent 3D-models and drawings according company standards
  • Calculations about strength and machine elements
  • Supporting the prototype assembly on components development and process definition
  • Supporting other departments on mechanical related problem analysis and trouble shooting
  • Creating technical reports and documents
  • Noting potential for process/ product improvement


  • Knowledge in mechanics and design mechanical components using 3D CAD software (best case NX)
  • Basic knowledge in materials, castings, injection molding and other production processes
  • Practice in geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing and FEA analysis (best case Ansys)
  • Product data management (TFS, SAP, etc.) knowledge
  • Fluent English in spoken and written (German is a plus)
  • Good team work spirit and communication skill to work in a global team
  • Experience in robotic or automatic engineering is a benefit
