The Opportunity

This role is based in our state of the art offices in Sydney Olympic Park which is within walking distance to public transport and parking stations. Reporting directly to our Software Support Team Lead, the role is primarily responsible for looking after Swisslog's Warehouse Management Software (WMS) ensuring continued uptime (Business as usual BAU) of our customer’s business.

Main responsibilities of the position include:

  • Provide remote Software application support for Swisslog WMS, across customer sites across ANZ region.

  • Perform detailed problem analysis, including replication to find root cause of repeat incidents.

  • Participate in in-depth functional testing (manual and automated tool based) of Swisslog WMS implementation for new and existing customers.

  • Participate in commissioning and training at customer sites as required.

  • This position requires the position holder to be on-call on a 24/7 roster, which is shared between Team members.

  • This is a customer facing role which requires daily interaction with end customer typically over phone and email.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Strong customer focus with a can do attitude.

  • Strong commitment to learn & improve functional, technical and warehousing domain skills.

  • Excellent incident management skills which involves performing in-depth analysis of the issue as reported by customer and then to be able to apply relevant information to identify and resolve the issue.

  • An analytical mind to identify trends in incidents and identify underlying problems, and ensure problems are resolved in a timely manner.

  • Experience in change management process, including deploying code changes to UAT and production environment.

  • Sound knowledge of programming in Java and SQL, Testing, Application Servers, Linux, Oracle database will be highly regarded.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  •  A team player attitude and positive outlook.

  • Excellent time management skills for the coordination of multiple tasks.

  • Willingness and ability to travel, if required locally as well as overseas.

  • Must have working rights in Australia.

  • Willingness to be on 24x7 standby roster is mandatory.
