Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler wants three consecutive wins in Mexico
Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi have few fonder memories of a race track than those they have of the course in Mexico: both drivers of the Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler team have already celebrated victory here and would like to be standing atop the podium during their next appearance again on Saturday (16 February).
The last two competitions in Mexico City were among the most spectacular Formula E races – and on both occasions Audi drivers were the stars: in 2017, Lucas di Grassi pulled off a driving and strategic masterpiece to claim victory despite a collision in the first lap and an additional pit stop which included the exchange of his spoiler. A year later, Daniel Abt started in fifth position and went on to secure his first Formula E victory and thus also the first win for a German driver in the all-electric racing series.
In Mexico, the Formula E race is held on part of the Formula 1 track
Formula E will be on the 2,093-kilometer long course at the legendary Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for the fourth time. It is the only permanent race track of the season, and the drivers love the course – particularly because of the unique atmosphere in the stadium packed with up to 40,000 spectators.

The Mexican fans are just unbelievable and the atmosphere in the stadium is unparalleled – we can even hear the fans cheering in the stands during the race!
