Anticipation of a Formula E highlight - the race in Monaco promises high suspense

Eight races, eight winners and still not the smallest preliminary decision in the title fight. In its fifth season, Formula E offers pure drama. The next venue on Saturday (11 May) will be the famous city circuit in Monaco.

In order to be in the lead at the end of the Monaco E-Prix, real teamwork is required once again.

Formula E uses a shortened version of the Formula 1 circuit in the Principality. It leaves out both the arc around the casino and the tunnel. With 1.765 kilometres, the circuit is thus the shortest in the Formula E calendar.

Lucas di Grassi knows the track well, he has a home advantage in Monaco: From the front door of the Brazilian, who lives in the Principality with his wife Bianca and son Leonardo, to his racing car in the pits, it's just 350 metres. In terms of sport, di Grassi has clear goals: to win the race.

The ninth round of the Formula E season starts on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

For the first time this season the ARD shows a race live.

The broadcast from the Principality will start punctually at the start of the race.

As always, Eurosport will show the race live.
