Apprenticeship as industrial mechanic

The apprenticeship as industrial mechanic makes you into a technical all-rounder at KUKA. With your expertise relating to the functions, requirements and safety measures, you make sure that our machines and systems operate round the clock.


Your apprenticeship at KUKA

As an industrial mechanic (m/f/d), you get the best out of the production systems. You set up and check the systems and machines – for example work machines or special machines. Then you put them into operation and keep them maintained. In addition, you look after the interlinking connections to our technical systems.

During your training as an industrial mechanic (m/f/d), you can expect these learning fields in particular:

  • Handling technical documents (for example production plans, drawings, standards)

  • Machining of metals and plastics

  • Making detachable and non-detachable connections

  • Setting up and switching electropneumatic and electrohydraulic controls

  • Assembling, adjusting, commissioning and maintaining assemblies, devices and machines

  • Troubleshooting of devices, machines and systems including their control systems

KUKA offers training as an industrial mechanic (m/f/d) in Augsburg and Bremen.

Augsburg:

Upon successful completion after 3.5 years, you will be trained industrial mechanic of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Your training will take place in cooperation with Vocational School I in Augsburg. For you, this means that both your practical assignments at KUKA and your classes will take place in Augsburg.

Your training will take place in cooperation with the TBZ Mitte vocational school. For you, this means that both your practical assignments at KUKA and your classes will take place in Bremen.
