We also deliver ready-made CE-marked solutions and engineering services in automation, electronics and control systems, says Torfinn Løvåsen, technical manager at the company.

Strong culture in engineering

Pioneer Robotics was started in 2017 and has quickly managed to establish itself. They currently have around ten employees, and according to CEO Finn Oscar Karlsen, they have Norwegian owners with a strong engineering culture and broad competence in business development.
- There is a vision to further develop automation solutions for industry, to strengthen competitive development and continued production in Scandinavia. We will take advantage of the opportunities with robots, machine learning and advanced sensors, says Finn Oscar Karlsen. According to him, the collaboration with KUKA means that the company takes an active step into the process industry, with a focus on smelting plants.

Coming to Smart Industri

KUKA is supporting us in demanding development processes, and understands the opportunities that lie in finding new market segments. Together, we are laying a foundation for the smelter industry to continue to be profitable, and for new robot and automation solutions to be made available. In this way, we contribute to creating safer and better work environments, and to making the industry more attractive and competitive. Coming to Smart Industri Frode Grimsbø, Norwegian country manager at KUKA Nordic, is also looking forward to working more closely together.
