Albin Sabo, New Field Service Team Lead KUKA Nordic

New Field Service Team Lead KUKA Nordic- the field service group is growing

KUKA Nordic's technicians who serve customers in the field - the field service team - have a new department manager: Albin Sabo. A person who has been in the industrial environment since childhood.- “My father used to run a service company in the industry, and I started helping out already in high school,” he says.

Former workshop manager

However, Albin Sabo comes most recently from a systems integrator where he was project manager and workshop manager. When he was contacted by KUKA this summer for the job of Field Service Team Lead at KUKA Nordic, Albin Sabo saw an opportunity to try something new and develop further. - “I was ready for new challenges, this came at just the right time,” he says.

Long experience in automation

In January, he started as manager of 14 technicians who travel in the Nordic and Baltic countries to provide assistance to KUKA Nordic's customers when something goes wrong, a type of work that Albin Sabo himself has extensive experience of. - “I could probably put on the overalls and do a lot of the work myself. But my role now is more about making things run smoothly for our technicians,” he says. Experience of automation?  He has plenty of that from previous employment.
- “Yes, I have installed many robots and machines over the years. KUKA's products are nothing new to me, he says.

One of the things he has had to get his teeth into straight away in his new role is re-cruiting more technicians to his team. The number of customers has grown as the company has increased its market share, and we need more technicians. - The idea is to grow the team to around 20 people, so our HR manager and I will be conducting a number of interviews with candidates.

How do you feel about your new job?
- Fantastic, and very overwhelming. Even though I'm familiar with the technology, there's been a lot of KUKA information to take in at the beginning. But it feels good, exactly the kind of development I wanted.
