The demands placed on robots in production are increasing, for example when it comes to handling batteries or gigacasting, in which large car body parts are manufactured from a single casting. Heavy-duty giants such as the KR FORTEC ultra are used for such tasks.

The robot is a real heavy worker and the demands placed on it are diverse in terms of performance, cost-effectiveness, and flexibility. But now, it also contributes to more resource-efficient and low-emission production, as Chief Project Manager Markus Theiler explains in our new Sustainability Insights episode:
