Data-based robot monitoring in 3 steps
To install the free version of KUKA iiQoT.Basic, you will need an account for our digital customer portal my.KUKA. Upon successful registration, it may take up to two days for us to verify your account.
Install KUKA iiQoT.Basic
Use the free KUKA iiQoT.Basic IoT tool now. Following independent installation, you can register any number of robots for an unlimited period of time and use all core functions. This makes your robot fleet more efficient right away.
Step 1: Request own tenant
- On my.KUKA, open the “Software & Licenses” area under the “Asset Management” tab.
- At “License Management”, go to “My Account iiQoT Tenants”.
- Click on “"Request Tenant” and accept the terms.
- Follow the instructions and complete the “Request Tenant Form”. You can then immediately see the tenant object in your list.
- The technical administrator you have specified will receive the Tenant URL from KUKA.
Step 2: Request preferred edge gateway
- In “My Account iiQoT Tenants”, click on “Get Gateway”.
- Choose between virtual edge gateway and physical edge gateway.
- Follow the instructions for installation.
3.1 Virtual gateway: The “Installation Guide iiQoT” function opens as an Xpert article and provides all the necessary information concerning the installation.
3.2 Physical gateway: The “Installation Guide iiQoT” opens in a new tab as an Xpert article. You must now purchase both items in the displayed KUKA Marketplace: the “KUKA Connectivity Box Type A V2” and the “KUKA Connectivity Box Type A” license.
Step 3: Connect KUKA robot
- Open the administration area on your iiQoT Tenant.
- Select Robot IP address and Activated edge gateway.
Basic vs. Advanced: choosing the right model
The right version will depend on what you want from the IIoT solution. If you primarily need functions related to condition monitoring for your robots and quick troubleshooting, then the free iiQoT.Basic modules offer the right options. There are no additional costs (e.g. for licenses) here.
If you want to get even more out of your robot monitoring, iiQoT.Advanced – which is available as of October 2023 and has extensive modules such as Predictive Maintenance, Backup Management and the now important function Energy Monitoring and Cyclic Time Analysis – is the right choice.
