KS CycleMove: the reliable solution for relatively small loads

The KS CycleMove is your ideal solution for automated component feed. It does not need an electric drive – for optimum efficiency with the greatest possible reliability. The modular structure of the KS CycleMove means that it can be individually adapted to any task.

With the KS CycleMove, you supply components with a maximum payload of 15 kg per carriage to the process sequence in a reliable way.

The core of the feed system is the braked carriage. This keeps the traversing velocity on the conveyor constant – irrespective of the length over which the components are transported and how heavy they are. The carriages are gravity-driven and move along sloping infeed and return conveyors.

The KS CycleMove has been and is used at customers such as VW, Opel, Daimler and KTPO, and we also use it in ourrobot production.

How the KS CycleMove functions

The KS CycleMove consists of three principal components:

  1. Frame: The tubular steel frame forms the stable and yet flexible base frame for the carriage system. It is available in different widths between 500 and 1,950 millimeters. Individual lengths can be selected between 3,250 and 6,250 millimeters. Up to four pairs of tracks can be integrated here, depending on requirements.
  2. Tracks: The supply and return conveyors ensure that the carriage and components are transported safely. The tracks contain components that are relevant to the system. Chiefly, these are a soft pad for cushioning the carriages, the control sensors of the CycleMove as well as the interlock at the end of the conveyor.
  3. Carriage: The means of transport for the feed system have a patented, integrated brake. This means the carriages run reliably at a constant speed – irrespective of the conveyor length and the weight of the components.

Advantages of the KS CycleMove

  • Low susceptibility to interference
  • No electrical energy required because the transport is driven by gravity
  • No mechanical setting work required on the construction site
  • Avoidance of elaborate safety technology
