Motek 2017: KUKA presents solutions for human-robot-collaboration
At the international trade fair for production and assembly automation Motek from October 9th to 12th, KUKA will present various automation solutions for human robot collaboration (MRK) with the motto: "Hello Industry 4.0 - adding HRC value to your production". Corresponding applications illustrate how the typical daily routine in a production can be optimized - and thus becomes even more cost-efficient. Visit us in hall 7 at booth 7214.
HRC-solution: The option
More and more processes can be implemented with sensitive robots: In the meantime human-robot collaboration becomes more and more the most economically advantageous choice. "Flexible solutions can be the better option compared to complete automation," says Henning Borkeloh, Vice President Advanced Technology Solutions at KUKA Systems. "How that looks like for different branches, we will show our visitors at Motek." The main actor in flexible HRC solutions is the seven-axis sensitive KUKA lightweight robot LBR iiwa.
Industry 4.0 with the KUKA LBR iiwa
The market has changed. As a result adjustments must also be made in the production. Individuals who want to respond flexible on demand need appropriate solutions. KUKA offers this and presents some HRC-capable applications with the flexible KUKA flexFELLOW robotic unit at the international trade fair for production and assembly automation.

Automated sensitive putting of engine valves
On the Motek 2017 KUKA presents an application, which allows the sensitive putting of engine valves.
KUKA flexFELLOW ready2_bolt: flexible and adaptable
At the booth trade visitors can see the KUKA flexFELLOW ready2_bolt in action. The lightweight robot, equipped with an HRC-capable A-Class screwdriver, screwed from above, from below, from the side and also opens a bottle with a bottle cap. The solution with the KUKA flexFELLOW enables flexible and versatile production: the application can be moved manually to its place of use and set-up in short time. Humans and robots move freely and without protective fences in the same workspace and can operate hand in hand. An Industrie 4.0 smart production at its best.
