KUKA announces orders for 20 OmniMove transport vehicles

KUKA’s Robotics division won contracts from the general industry with a total volume of 20 OmniMove transport vehicles in the first half of 2013. Both domestic customers from Germany and international customers from Russia, the Arab world and other countries placed orders for the vehicles. These mobile platform systems incorporate omnidirectional wheel technology and are used in a wide variety of industrial sectors. OmniMoves have been sold to sectors like aerospace, aircraft manufacturing, rail transportation technology and logistics.
Orders received were booked in the first half of 2013 with a volume in the high single-digit million euro range.
