03 November 2020
The Czech Technical University in Prague, namely the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics (CIIRC CTU) has ordered 23 additional KUKA products. The robots of type LBR iiwa, the mobile robots of type KMR iiwa, and the ready2_educate cells will be implemented in the newly emerging international research centre RICAIP at CIIRC CTU supported by EU and Czech funds (H2020 and OP RDE).
One of the largest single orders for an educational institution
The basis for the order based on public procurement, which is worth a single-digit million-euro amount, was an excellent experience gained in the past and a broad KUKA product range, which offers complete solutions from a single source. The order represents one of the largest single orders for an educational facility. The order was completed in the third quarter of 2020 with the last parts expected to be delivered in early 2021.
