At IMTS 2024, KUKA Robotics will demonstrate a variety of special automated solutions from several of its System Partners that streamline part processing and boost overall production output in booth 236807.

Feeding Machine Tools

KUKA will unveil a fully automated manufacturing shop at in a cutting-edge demonstration at IMTS 2024. For turnkey machine tool automation solutions, Waybo’s CyberDrawers feeding system is well suited for both turning centers and milling machines. Shops can program the system using a simple, internally designed interface that calculates nearly all the robot’s movements, and setting up for a new production process is quick and easy. Initial installation of the whole system typically takes only a day.

Machine tending automation from Waybo will be paired with mobile automation and automated bin picking to create a fully automated manufacturing environment. Two KMP 1500P mobile platforms will transport materials between a lathe machine tool and bin picking station. The advanced 3D vision solution from Roboception consists of the rc_viscore high-res stereo sensor with the rc_reason CADMatch software. CADMatch combines best-in-class AI and classical methods with an intuitive user experience for non-vision experts. The vision solution works seamlessly with KUKA.SmartBinPicking software to precisely locate and collision-free pick-and-place items from bins.

Designed with universal applicability for almost all market segments, especially for pick-and-place operations in machining, assembly and handling applications, the MAIROFlex iisy is easy to teach, so previous robotics knowledge is often unnecessary. No-code programming enables beginners to achieve fast initial success, while the LBR iisy cobot is extremely easy to use.

Milling with Robots
