Thus, the key foundations have been laid for giving IWKA Manufacturing Technology Division a clearer structure in terms of company law and a leaner organization.

In Future all activities of this Division will be brought together under the management of the IWKA Produktionstechnik GmbH intermediate holding company, based in Eislingen. Using the agency of this intermediate holding, IWKA will be able to respond to changes in the market in a more flexible way and to faster implement the requisite measures. At the same time, optimized cost structures will strengthen IWKA?s competitive edge and earnings power. Not only is IWKA one of the leading systems suppliers of mechanical and plant engineering for the automobile industry, but also of packaging technology for the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. In business 2000, the IWKA Group, with its 12,850 employees, booked global sales of EUR 2.2 billion; the Manufacturing Technology Division generated EUR 452 million of this figure.
