KUKA takes a consistently holistic approach. All axes of the HO robotic use food-grade lubricants, as does the energy supply system, which scores with food-safe NSF H1 greases. This provides consistent H1 lubrication (NSF approved) throughout the entire process chain – not only in production machines and conveyor systems, but also in the industrial robots themselves. Any incidental food contact is harmless to humans, and the light gray surface of the equipment easily reveals contamination.

The secondary sector of the food industry maintains very high safety standards and technical requirements for robots.     The standard version of the KR DELTA robot (IP 67) is ideal wherever maximum productivity and hygiene are required. It scores with speed and precision in pick & place applications as well as in packaging and sorting. Thanks to the consistent use of food-grade lubricants of category H1, the high-speed robotic arm is particularly suitable for use in the pharmaceutical, beverage and food industries. The hygienic design of the KR DELTA HM meets the German LFGB, US FDA and EHEDG food standards. It is suitable for direct food contact with food.

    The six-axis, IP67-rated food-grade machine is designed for maximum operating speeds. The HO robot (hygienic oil), with NSF H1 lubricant or food-safe grease, offers flexible support for handling and pick-and-place tasks in the food industry.     With a minimized interference radius, the food processing robot has one of the smallest in-line wrists in its class. The Hygienic Oil version is ideal for handling dry food products.     The robotic palletizer and packaging robot KR QUANTEC PA with NSF H-1 approved lubricant meets all the automation requirements of today’s beverage and food industry: minimum space requirements, short cycles and low operating costs.
