IWKA company Hüttlin lays cornerstone for new headquarter

Stage set for further growth

12 December 2006

On November 29, 2006, IWKA subsidiary Hüttlin GmbH, based in Steinen in the state of Baden-Württemberg, laid the cornerstone for its new head office in the nearby town of Schopfheim. Thanks to the excellent business results of the past few years, the company has outgrown its existing buildings in Steinen and Wittlingen. It will invest over € 5 million in this new construction project, which will see the two existing locations merge in summer of 2007 and sets the stage for further growth.

The centerpiece of the new headquarters is a test lab, which will enable Hüttlin to expand its service offering to the pharmaceutical industry. The company will soon be able to even more intensively support its customers in their product and process development tasks and to cut the time to market for their products. The test facility will feature state-of-the-art clean rooms and a sophisticated air handling system. A new office building and adjacent assembly hall are also included in the project.

Hüttlin GmbH designs, manufactures and installs process systems for the pharmaceutical industry, as well as for special applications in the chemical and food industries. The systems are used to dry, granulate and coat solid substances; e.g., for tablet production processes.

In 2005, Hüttlin generated sales revenues of just under € 20 million. Hüttlin GmbH is a subsidiary of the Karlsruhe-based IWKA Group and belongs to its Packaging division.
Together with associated subsidiaries, the company can offer almost everything in the process chain for developing and manufacturing tablets or other solid pharmaceutical administration formats - up to and including packaging in blister or other package types.
