Groundbreaking ceremony at Orange Care
Augsburg, April 23, 2013 A colorful crowd milled about joyfully on KUKA's site amidst balloons, toy steam shovels and small, nimble helpers, as KUKA CEO Dr. Till Reuter, Orange Care CEO Dr. Siegfried Schwung and Supervisory Board chairman Bernd Minning turned the sod for the new daycare center.

Invitees included representatives of the town of Augsburg, interested employees, parents and of course children. The new day care center is sponsored by Orange Care e.V., an association founded by KUKA employees that helps people and families in need. KUKA Aktiengesellschaft is the day care center's owner. "I am very proud of the employees who committed to Orange Care and put the wheels for the day care center in motion," said Dr. Till Reuter. "It's important to help parents balance work and family life."
The day care center is being built on KUKA's site at Zugspitzstraße 140 in Augsburg Lechhausen, Germany. It will open its doors in fall 2013. Applications are being accepted starting in May. "We are a charitable organization. The day care center is not only for KUKA families, but for all Augsburg children," explained Dr. Siegfried Schwung. Day care center manager Bettina Geißler is already working diligently on the design of and concept for the facility. "I have already hired almost my entire staff," says Geißler. "There is one more opening," she confides. She is looking for an experienced daycare worker.
Applications for the Orange Care daycare center will be accepted on May 6, 7 and 13 at KUKA, Zugspitzstraße 140, gate 1. Appointments can be made with daycare center manager Bettina Geißler.
