KUKA Systems awarded major plant engineering contract in the mid double digit million EURO range

This project comprises the engineering, development and construction of a new plant for manufacturing a vehicle series in the premium compact car segment. The plant will produce both the front floors and the rear bodies. The parts are joined using the spot welding and gluing process. This order encompasses all aspects of project management for new models. Areas of activity here not only include the engineering service, design, procurement and building, but also comprise commissioning and optimization work for two complete assembly lines in Europe. The order, valued in the mid double digit million euro range, was received during the ongoing second quarter of 2013.
