Good welds come standard. But good partners?

Many equipment manufacturers and system engineers offer essentially similar joining solutions – most welding robots weld, and often to a good quality. But technology is only one important factor for good production results. The second factor is: commitment.

Technology
Reading Time: 1 min.

There’s no question about it: the technology has to be right. This is especially true for automated joining processes. Many technologies available to Tier 1 OEMs (suppliers whose solutions are tailored to the end product without major modifications and who supply the OEM – the original equipment manufacturer – directly) are now largely equivalent. Many, but not all. For example, difficult joining applications – such as aluminum welding – require years of experience in the field of welding to meet the special requirements. So a broad product portfolio and innovative automated joining solutions are by no means standard.

Consulting, project management and implementation for a wide range of process technologies

By no means standard, moreover, is end-to-end project management with professional project experts who ensure agile, flexible and customer-oriented collaboration – from the initial idea to the finished product. Every company is different. Only when the unique operational challenges are understood can a true recommendation be made: this applies to robotic solutions as well as supporting software applications or cycle time optimization. In addition, 3D simulation software, such as KUKA.Sim, can be used to build automation solutions in the virtual world to ensure they deliver results in the real production environment – without risk.

Are you looking for a partner to help you automate your process? On the KUKA website, in addition to contacts, you will find everything from welding robots and welding cells to suitable software options.
