KUKA Roboter moves into the world's largest robot market - Japan

KUKA Roboter GmbH Augsburg, part of KUKA Aktiengesellschaft, is constantly expanding and has now moved into the world's largest robot market – Japan

November 29, 2007

KUKA Roboter founded a branch of the company in Japan in July 2007. Closeness to the market and to its customers is one of the principles behind the success of KUKA Roboter GmbH. KUKA Robotics Japan will be selling innovative industrial robot solutions throughout the region.

In addition, KUKA Roboter GmbH will be appearing at IREX 2007 in Japan from November 28 to December 1. KUKA Roboter will be using this major trade exhibition to establish its position in the Japanese robot market in the long term. The company will be showing visitors from all over Asia its comprehensive range of innovative products and new developments from the KUKA parent company in Augsburg. In addition to clean room applications, solutions for the food industry and the SafeRobot technology, the 1000 kg heavy-duty robot will be a major point of interest for visitors.

Bernd Liepert, CEO Robotics of KUKA AG, commented: "We are delighted to be starting to do business in Japan, the world's largest robot market, and regard our participation in this trade fair as the successful start to our involvement here. The first two days of the fair have already indicated that international trade visitors are extremely interested in what we are exhibiting.“
