The Key Technology Manager for Industry Segment – Consumer Goods is responsible for providing industry specific Application domain expertise for both KUKA and our customers, driving growth through disciplined Sales and PFM collaboration, market intelligence, and application knowledge of KUKA technologies. The Key Technology Manager will have strong industry and application knowledge, including KUKA technologies and technology partners ecosystem, enabling differentiation in Sales activities, creating effective sales tools, and allowing for effective coordination of the internal KUKA sales resources. The Key Technology Manager will apply technical and application knowledge to solve customer problems and create differentiation for KUKA within the Consumer Goods industry segment

Effective interaction and influence of End-Customers, SI's and end user's key functions (Engineering, Operations, R&D, etc...) is a core competency of this position.

  • Guidance and support on industry-specific application technology, acting as a consultant and expert, increasing the efficiency of sales processes:

  • Co-plan and prioritize the activities which will generate the greatest value for the customer.

  • Through sales team, proactive work with customers to make product and automation recommendations like technical suitability, cost/performance evaluation, recognizing technical trends and migration considerations, leading proof of concepts, and value proposition creation.

  • Provide expertise, technical guidance and support to sales and key account teams.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for industry specific application requirements and customer desired outcomes

  • Use consolidated knowledge to provide guidance and recommendations to Sales and Portfolio on future business needs and opportunities within the Industry eco-system.

  • Implementation and execution segment specific go to market initiatives:

  • Deployment of the segment specific go-to-market plans and activities.

  • Identify segment specific sales channels, map key accounts, co-develop actions and timelines, and align resources in support of go-to-market activities.

  • Collaborate with Business Development segment specialists, Marketing, and other resources to support market segment and account team needs.

  • Implementation of industry specific sales campaigns and other initiatives that support business and account management. Track results of go-to-market initiatives.

  • Define, qualify, and maintain System Integrator and Partner Network for complex Processes, as well interface and manage local Key Technology Partners.

  • Support in contract negotiations for strategic customers.

  • Ensure that strong and effective relationships are built and maintained within the industry segment (specialist presentations, conventions, trade fairs, technological institutions, etc.).

Application Requirements

  • University degree in the techno-commercial domain

  • At least 5 years higher level professional experience in Automation and Sales.

  • Practical experience with the robot based solutions, applications and process technologies, with focus in industry specific processes.

  • Well networked within the Consumer Goods industry

  • Business fluent English (spoken and written) and intercultural competence for International relationship, further languages will be a bonus

  • Good sense of business and global orientation,

  • Strong presentation, sales and negotiation techniques

  • Results-oriented, aptitude for planning and organization with

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, IT-tool skills

  • High degree of initiative and ability to work well in global teams

  • High degree of mobility and willingness to travel

  • Position staffed in Germany (Augsburg)
