KUKA.PalletTech

Palletising software that provides easy and user-friendly solutions for the configuration and execution of palletising tasks across various packaging, packing patterns and stations, whatever the dimension.

Innovative palletising software for the quick and flexible palletising of unmixed articles

With KUKA.PalletTech, you can configure your palletising application even without comprehensive robotic programming knowledge. By automatically generating the robot programs, the automation technology package enables extremely quick start-up of complete palletising applications.
Thanks to customised adaptations, the robotic software can be specially tailored to your requirements and integrated into your existing production.

Automated palletising with KUKA.PalletTech software: easy creation and flexible adaptation of palletising scenarios

  • Quick configuration of cell components

The PalletTech editor in KUKA.WorkVisual provides a step-by-step guide and allows for the complete configuration of cell components such as grippers, infeed stations and outfeed stations.

  • Simple definition and modification of palletising tasks

The pallet layout and items on a pallet, as well as their patterns, can be configured and modified in a user-friendly manner. Modification, in particular, is possible without advanced automation software knowledge.

  • Maximum system availability

The available error strategies and monitoring functions minimize downtimes during operation, allowing you to optimise the processes.
  • Custom adaptability to meet specific requirements

The automatically generated robotic programs offer entry points for flexible expansion of the program code.

KUKA.PalletTech: maximum cost-effectiveness and flexibility for mono-palletising

KUKA palletisation software for fast programming and start-up of pick&place tasks using robots and cobots.

Design palletising processes easily in just a few steps from installation to production

Configure any combination of layer and stacking patterns, that align with your packaging, with intuitive feedback through graphical visualization via KUKA.WorkVisual.
  • Install KUKA.PalletTech

The PalletTech editor is automatically installed via the iKOP function in KUKA.WorkVisual.

  • Define project structure

Cell components such as grippers, infeed stations and outfeed stations are defined. This is followed by items, slipsheets and pallets.

  • Determine palletising instructions

Design the layer sequence (e.g. pallet, product, slipsheets, product, etc.) as well as the patterns of the products within the layers.
  • Define palletising scenarios

Link articles to infeed stations and palletising instructions (pallet structure) to outfeed stations.

Functions of the robotic palletising software

  • Configuration of palletising cell: grippers, stations, signals
  • Configuration of palletising items: products, slipsheets, pallets
  • Configuration of palletising instructions: stacking plan, layer definition
  • Configuration of production scenarios: infeed stations, palletising stations
  • Adaptation of palletising applications via the SmartHMI user interface on the KUKA smartPAD
  • Start-up of configured palletising applications using the SmartHMI start-up wizard
  • A KUKA robot arm stacks boxes in exact positions.

Palletising in different industries & applications

The automation software supports mono-palletizing and makes for an optimal palletizing process in all sectors – from the food industry to the consumer goods industry.

The automated palletizing system ACPaQ from our subsidiary Swisslog provides reliable, high-performance solutions for challenging mixed-case palletizing.
