How is a robot made at KUKA in Augsburg? Where does medical robotics stand today? And why are robots in demand in space? These and other exciting questions take center stage at European Robotics Week (ERW) 2025. The goal: to give children, young people, and adults the chance to experience the fascination of robotics up close.

An evening dedicated to medical robotics: Numerous guests took the opportunity to learn more about the use of robotics in the medical field virtually from their screens at home. Dr.-Ing. KUKA on television, lectures for children and a dream robot

The TV report by a.tv (only in German) summarizes how the students experienced the robotics day at KUKA.

Under the motto “Humans and machines on Mars – what robotics can do in space,” around 200 children got a taste of university life at the Augsburg Planetarium. There, KUKA robotics experts and space professionals explained what robots are and what tasks they can perform in space.

Children and young people can get creative themselves until the beginning of December: simply send a picture of your dream robot to KUKA – with your name, age, robot name, and a short description of its capabilities. All the information about the craft competition can be found here. Attractive prizes will be raffled among all submissions.
