Dual integrated studies – Electrical engineering

In the electrical engineering course, you will learn to design, plan and analyze technical solutions. In the practical part, you deal with complex electronic systems – on customer premises as well.

Electrical engineering course at KUKA

The dual integrated studies in electrical engineering are your entry point to electrical and operations technology. As an electrical engineer at KUKA, you develop electrical components and circuits. You look after electric drives, the power supply, data processing and software development for complex technical tasks. In addition, you plan and design electronic systems, and analyze and solve technical problems.

In the dual integrated studies in electrical engineering at KUKA, you work with the latest robots and technologies and have a direct entry to Industrie 4.0. 

These are the principal tasks awaiting you during and after the electrical engineering co-operative education program:

  • Planning, analyzing and building electrical engineering structures
  • Developing and using electrical and electronic components and circuits
  • Developing software for complex technical tasks

Duration of the dual (integrated) studies in electrical engineering and qualification

KUKA offers the dual integrated studies in electronics engineering at the Augsburg site and the dual studies in electrical engineering at the Obernburg site.

Augsburg: 

On successful graduation after 4.5 years, you will be a trained electronics technician (CIC) and receive the Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) qualification from Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.

The course is held in cooperation with the vocational school Berufsschule I and Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. What this means for you: both your practical work placements at KUKA and your teaching and lectures take place in Augsburg.

Obernburg: 

On successful graduation after 3 years, you will receive the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) qualification from the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW). The course is held in cooperation with the DHBW in Mosbach.

You should offer the following

  • Enjoyment of working with other people in a
    multicultural/international setting

  • Matriculation qualification for tertiary education or high school diploma
