KS PULSE: conveying vehicle parts along a line 

KS PULSE (Propulsion Using Linear Synchronous Energy) is a pallet-based transport system for automated assembly lines in body-in-white production. Because it has very few moving parts the system has a very low susceptibility to faults and in addition operates at a very high speed.


KS PULSE permits quicker and more flexible processes in body-in-white production. The main element of the transport system is a chassis. Using various skids this transports the individual bodywork components through the assembly line. The skids are exchangeable, enabling multiple models to be produced. The chassis is moved through the process stations of the system by means of linear motors. 

How the KS PULSE works

The chassis are transported along the line quickly and precisely by linear synchronous motor technology. Other PULSE components such as turntables or buffers from the PULSE system are used to create a complete circular route.

No further sensors are required for precise positioning to plus/minus 0.1 millimeters. Transfer to the individual stations and also chassis collision protection are incorporated in the PULSE software. 

Any chosen skids can be placed on the chassis, thus providing the capability for a high diversity of models.
