KUKA wins major order from a german premium car manufacturer

Augsburg, 25 March, 2015. In the fourth quarter of 2014, KUKA won a major order from BMW Group, Munich. The order encompasses the supply of about 2,500 industrial robots of the KR QUANTEC generation, including the KR C4 controller, and additional robots from the new KR FORTEC heavy-duty series. The robots will be used primarily for joining and handling applications in body-in-white production. Call-offs from this framework contract will be posted as orders received from the first quarter of 2015 onwards for about two years.
